Price is the first thing everyone asks about, and the honest answer is that interior painting is priced by the job, not by a flat rate. Two rooms that look the same size can cost very different amounts once you factor in wall condition, ceiling height, how many colors you want and whether the trim needs work. This guide breaks down what you can expect in Hillsborough and the surrounding Somerset County towns, and why a walk-through is the only way to get a real number.
Typical interior painting price ranges
The ranges below are for planning only. They assume standard eight to nine foot ceilings, walls in reasonable shape, and quality paint. Older homes, high ceilings and heavy prep push you toward the top of each range or beyond.
